The incredible stability makes it suitable for pro yogis as well as beginners. Maintaining balance, especially when transitioning through poses can be tricky. It’s even harder with a narrow stand up paddle board. The Bluefin Aura Fit makes it easy for newbie yogis to learn with confidence and for seasoned yogis to do advanced poses.

Features of the Aura Fit Stand Up Paddle Board
Performance
The Bluefin Aura is a beautiful board. But how does it perform on the water?
a. Stability
Stand up paddle boards made for yoga are usually designed with stability in mind. This Bluefin SUP is no different.
It is almost 36 inches wide, making it one of the widest single-rider inflatable boards. It offers a stable platform that is perfect for practicing yoga, learning how to SUP, and even paddling with a child and dog.
We love the nose, which is rounded and wide as well. Usually, when paddling with a kid or pup at the front, you can expect them to move around a lot. The wide nose enhances stability and keeps you from ending up in the water.
The Bluefin 10’8 also has a round wide tail which contributes to its stability. This shape is one of the things that make it such a great paddle board for SUP yoga.
We also noticed that the Bluefin paddle board does not flex. Its rigidity is remarkable.
Some people still don’t trust inflatable paddle boards because some of them are known to flex. It can be hard to stay on board, especially if you are on the heavier side.
The Aura Fit holds up well and feels like a solid SUP board when fully inflated. It is thick, at 6″, and features quality construction—factors that make an iSUP more rigid.
As far as stability goes, this Bluefin SUP is outstanding. If you are looking for a super stable board, you should consider it.
b. Maneuverability
Almost all paddlers will be able to handle the Bluefin Aura Fit with no problem.
Generally, shorter paddleboards are more maneuverable. This inflatable may not be as long as a racing board but it is also not the shortest.
That said, we still found it maneuverable. It has a kick pad feature at the tail which helps when you want to make quick sharp turns.
c. Tracking
Tracking refers to the ability of a paddle board to follow a straight line.
The Aura Fit 10’8 paddle board performs well in this area. It features a tri-fin setup—one large center fin and two side fins. They prevent the inflatable paddle board from turning every time you make a paddle stroke.
As long as you have mastered the proper paddling technique, you won’t have any issues.
d. Speed
Here is the thing: you will enjoy unmatched stability with most wide paddle boards. But when it comes to speed, you shouldn’t have high expectations.
This is the case with the Aura Fit SUP yoga board. It is wide, which means more resistance when you are paddling. It also doesn’t have a streamlined shape.
The speed is what you would expect from an all-around/yoga board. It glides well and it is great for relaxed cruising and fitness.
Build Quality
Very few boards come with a five-year warranty like this Bluefin SUP. The most common warranty period for inflatable paddle boards is one or two years.
The Bluefin Aura Fit is built using 1000D exo surface laminate PVC and pro weave drop stitch construction.
Bluefin SUPs are some of the best inflatable paddle boards when it comes to rigidity. The Aura Fit 10’8 can be inflated up to 28 psi—which is amazing.
This military-grade PVC construction makes the Bluefin Fit theoretically indestructible. No wonder the manufacturer can confidently offer a five-year warranty.
You never have to worry about flexing and you are sure that your SUP will last.
The paddle board is super stiff when inflated to the recommended psi (15 to 18 psi). It has a maximum weight capacity of 350 pounds. With this weight limit, it is an ideal choice for most paddlers.
One good thing about having such a rugged paddle board is that you won’t be constantly worrying about dents and dings. The Aura Fit will easily bounce off obstacles. It can handle whatever you throw at it.
Design
Compared to all the other Bluefin paddle boards, we think the Aura 10’8 is the most beautiful. It definitely stands out.
The design is what you would expect for a fitness/all-around stand up paddle board. It is wide, at 35.8”, and has a rounded nose and tail.
This shape makes it perfect for SUP activities that require a super stable platform.
You can do yoga and pilates one day, paddle with a child the next, and go on a short tour at the lake the day after that.
It is a good option for water sports enthusiasts.

1. Fins
The Bluefin Aura Fit comes with three smart lock fins—a large 8” center fin and two smaller side fins.
We love the Smart Lock setup because attaching and detaching fins is so easy. You don’t need tools and there aren’t any small parts that could get lost.
Having detachable fins also means that you can experiment with different setups to see what works best for you.
While the Smart Lock system is nice, some paddlers prefer the US fin box system. It allows you to play around with a wide variety of after-market fins.
2. Deck Pad
The deck pad is an important feature, especially on yoga boards, because it acts as a yoga mat too.
The traction pad on the Bluefin Fit 10’8 is large, covering most of the deck. The croco-diamond pad is soft and you can comfortably do all your exercises for as long as you like.
It also offers traction so you don’t slip when the board is wet.
We have to mention that it is child- and pet-friendly too.
3. Handles
The Bluefin Aura has four carry handles—one at the front, another at the back, and two at the sides.
Unlike most of the inflatable paddle boards we have tested, it doesn’t have a center carry handle. We love the arrangement because it leaves a clear deck for all kinds of yoga poses and exercises.
4. D-Rings
This paddle board comes with five D-rings. One is the back, used for attaching an ankle leash. The other four are at the front, with a bungee cord for storage attached.
Most of the other Bluefin boards have extra D-rings at the sides for attaching a kayak seat. Hopefully, they will add a few more on the Aura 10’8 in the future to allow for customization.
We, however, appreciate the fact that they added a fixed action camera mount at the nose.

What is included in the package?
When you buy the Bluefin Aura Fit, you get a fiberglass paddle, backpack, double-action pump, leash, repair kit, and a waterproof smartphone case.
The paddle has a fiberglass shaft and a polyurethane blade. It is way lighter than a regular aluminum paddle. We love its ergonomic design and the fact that it breaks into three pieces for storage and travel.
A carbon fiber paddle would have been even better because it’s lighter and more efficient. So advanced paddlers might want to upgrade.
But a fiberglass paddle is good for this price range. iSUP packages with a carbon fiber paddle cost more.
The dual-action pump inflates on both the downstroke and upstroke, making your work easier. We would still recommend upgrading to an electric pump though. It will save you a lot of time and effort.
We found the coiled ankle leash to be very comfortable. You even forget that you’re wearing it after a while.
The Bluefin SUP backpack has extra padding on the straps for comfort. It is big enough to fit your SUP and accessories.

The Bluefin SUP would be ideal for the paddler who wants a three-fin setup. It enhances stability and allows you to change the setup.

2. Aura Fit Vs Blackfin X
The Blackfin X is quite popular. It is made by one of the most reputable inflatable paddle board companies.
The paddle board is 10’6 long and 35” wide. It is almost the same size as the Aura Fit 10’8.
The Blackfin X is made using triple-layer composite PVC construction. On top of that, it features carbon rails to make it even more rigid. It can hold up to 450 pounds and only weighs 27 pounds.
The Blackfin X package is quite impressive. It includes a carbon matte paddle, triple-action hand pump, rolling backpack, leash, and a repair kit.
The features on the deck also make it stand out. It has eight multi-use action mounts and 20 D-rings.
It is available in several different colors too.
As you can see, the iSUP package of the Blackfin X is better than what you get with the Aura. Additionally, the Blackfin X has tons of attachment points and you can use it for fishing and camping trips. Its maximum weight capacity is also remarkable.
But the Bluefin SUP costs a lot less. It may not have a lot of attachment points but that means you’ll enjoy a clear deck, perfect for yoga poses.
It all comes down to how you want to use your SUP.
